Dr. S. K. Waheed Hussain is a highly accomplished paediatrician with specialised training in Paediatric Haematology, Paediatric Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation. He holds an MBBS degree from Osmania Medical College and an MD in Paediatrics from Kakatiya Medical College. He underwent meticulous training during his fellowship at Mazumdar Shaw Medical Centre, Bengaluru in Paediatric Haematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant. Dr. Waheed has immense knowledge in treating childhood blood disorders, and cancers including blood cancers and managing paediatric bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy. His clinical skills extend to performing intricate procedures on children such as bone marrow aspiration and biopsy, femoral line insertions, lumbar puncture with administration of intrathecal chemotherapy and stem cell collection by bone marrow harvest. He has contributed to impactful research in HSCT outcomes in paediatric AML, Anaemia in Malnutrition, and Immune reconstitution post-transplant. He has been awarded multiple gold medals for academic excellence during his medical training.
